A CLOSER LOOK

Knit sweaters for Japanese streetwear

Knitted in, not printed

The patchwork cable knit is pieced from colour blocks, each edge sewn down with a thick contrast whipstitch. On the jacquard pieces the pattern is knitted into the yarn: line-drawn cat faces, or bears and pine trees under big letters.

Fuzzy mock necks and a crane knit

Two mock necks come in a soft brushed knit, one with painted brushstroke letters, one with a small knitted stag. The apricot crewneck is printed with white cranes among gray-green leaves.

Sizing a Japanese sweater

The fit changes from piece to piece. The stag sweater is slim at 88 cm around the chest in Medium; the teddy bear knit is loose at 124 cm.
