Crane haori and kimono jackets

A crane kimono for long life and luck

In Japan the crane stands for a long life and good luck, and it has been a kimono motif for centuries. Here the birds are the focus, printed large across the back and framed by waves, flowers or mountains.

Two cranes or a whole flock

The crane and wave haori and the navy jacket with the gold ring each carry two cranes on the back. The Dao haori sets its pair below the character for the way, inside a gray circle. The lilac haori is covered in cranes, fronts and sleeves included.

How a crane haori fits

Each piece is cut loose and open, with wide sleeves and a hip-length hem. A Small lilac or white haori measures 108 cm around the chest, the Dao haori 134 cm in Large, and the gold ring jacket comes in one size.
